Solution
Users should easily compare lawyers and hire the best possible lawyer according to their own requirements.
Also, users who are students can search articles and study materials or legal advice from renowned lawyers so that they can gain some insight. Users which are in need of legal assistance can also access those articles to understand more about their cases.

Gaining an understanding of the Indian Legal System
To know more about the legal system, we need to know the hiring process and how a common man contacts a lawyer. The main questions are:
1. Is the hiring process difficult offline?
2. How do people hire a lawyer?
3. How many legal areas are considered when looking for the right lawyer

Deep Dive
I interviewed 3 lawyers: my client, and his 2 other colleagues, from multiple fields (student and private sector employees)

Affinity Map of user pain points

Gathered possible solutions of all user painpoints
As I gathered the pain points, I realized that the optimal way to solve the problem is to design a web app that could ensure a user-friendly system for everyone to find and consult the best possible lawyer online.
Very few users were aware that online consultancy is also possible and many users were still in the era where calling and going door to door for lawyers was a prominent thing.
Organizing my thoughts
I now had to create a comparison to gain a better knowledge of our online legal system and possible application in the market so that my research could have more clarity I also checked play store reviews and found some similar pain points to those mentioned before

How to trust the lawyer?
In order to gain trust, I need to make sure that our app included details from the lawyers on our app such as license number, specialization, employment details, etc. We also needed to let the user know that the app is encrypted so they can trust our app

How to contact the lawyer?
Video consultation — due to covid everyone was able to understand and learn digital methods. So irrespective of the age group, digital consultation was popular among all. Also, this method would create a reliability factor and allow any user to contact lawyers from afar thus saving money on travel and speeding up the hiring process.
Phone consultation
Email consultation (should not be used as many people are not willing to use this method)

User Flow

Due to lack of time, brainstorming was converted into low-fidelity mockups. Then, I created the homepages for those who wanted to find a lawyer and those who wanted to become a lawyer.

Learning/ Takeaways
I found out about the painful offline hiring process for lawyers and needed multiple brainstorming sessions and reiterations before getting to the design part of the process. And even with the process, I know that there is so much more to learn and change in my current case study
If I had more time to research, I would have given a month to just gather information in order to make a thorough case study.
